BYD's Next Wave: Yangwang Flagship Sedan, Denza N8 and Second-Gen Seal 07
BYD is preparing several launches at once, from a 5.5-metre Yangwang flagship sedan with coach doors to the Denza N8 and a larger second-generation Seal 07. Here is what is known so far about each one.

BYD continues to widen its range at both ends of the market, from low-cost hatchbacks to ultra-luxury limousines. This month brings several reveals: a flagship sedan from its Yangwang brand, a Denza model approaching its China presale, and a second-generation Seal 07 with a new cabin. Many details are still unconfirmed, but together they show where the company is heading and what buyers can expect in the coming months.
Yangwang flagship sedan with coach doors
Yangwang, the top tier of BYD's brand hierarchy, is pushing into the territory of Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Mercedes-Maybach with a new executive sedan. Spy shots show an upright grille and rear-hinged coach doors, a first for BYD. Local reports put its length at around 5,500 mm, close to the size of the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class or Rolls-Royce Phantom.
The global launch will take place in the UAE rather than China, BYD's home market, and an official debut is expected this month, although no specific date has been announced. Prices are rumoured to start around 2 million yuan, roughly $300,000. For comparison, the current Yangwang U7 starts at 658,000 yuan ($98,000), and the extended-range U8L at 1.45 million yuan ($217,000).
The car was shown at BYD's Flash Charging station, which suggests support for megawatt flash charging. Electrek reports that it will be the first BYD model with solid-state batteries, but BYD executive vice president Stella Li, speaking to Carwow.es, said the company's first solid-state vehicle will debut in 2027. The two accounts do not match, so the battery timeline should be treated as unconfirmed. Yangwang general manager Zheng Yu has promised unprecedented disruptive technology without giving specifics.
Denza N8 nears China presale
The Denza N8 has revealed four production cabin colours and its control layout ahead of a China presale on October 26, with a launch planned for November. It will use an 890 kW e3 powertrain, which places it among the more powerful models in the BYD group.
Larger second-generation Seal 07
The second-generation Seal 07 is noticeably bigger than its predecessor, measuring 5,080 mm in length. Official interior images show the Ocean Rhythm cockpit, 20-speaker Devialet audio and zero-gravity seating, which points to a strong focus on comfort and sound quality.
